Causes and Consequences of the Migration of Scientists and Students from the Brics Countries to Developed Economies

One of the major problems in relationship between Global South and North is drain intellectual capital from economies education systems most developed countries South, which bothers both developing some European ones. The purpose study to reveal reasons for migration scientists students Brazil, Russian Federation, India, China, Africa (BRICS countries) identify consequences process through example a university by studying characteristics personal experience motivation teachers. research devoted academic activity abroad attitude 360 four- five-year 321 teachers at Novosibirsk State University (Novosibirsk, Federation) towards practice. survey results revealed that relatively small number respondents (31.07% 9.03% students) have foreign activity; large majority participants highly assessed possibility working (4.87 3.48 on 5-point Likert scale among students, respectively). are line with findings similar studies other BRICS countries; therefore, they can be extrapolated broader context. In particular, according all respondents, repeated or circular extremely low (0.88 1.61). help manage international exchange programs, as well regulate training programs migration. novelty lies analysis migrating their assessment intentions based an single educational institution region.
